What Is a 100% Solids Epoxy Coating?

A 100% solids epoxy contains no solvents or water — every component of the mixed material becomes part of the finished floor. When it cures, there is no evaporation, no off-gassing, and no shrinkage. The result is a dense, hard coating that bonds tightly to the concrete substrate and delivers a consistent, high-performance surface from the first day of installation.

Conventional epoxy coatings with solvent or water carriers release VOCs (volatile organic compounds) during cure. In occupied facilities — food processing plants, commercial kitchens, manufacturing floors, and warehouses — that off-gassing creates odor problems and potential air quality concerns.
